To the dog in the park: What do you have against my mittens? I swear to God, I was walking through there and this dog kept trying to attack my mittens. I dunno why, maybe she thought the pattern was threatening or something. XD They didn't have cats on them. *LMAO* Okay, enough of that.
This morning I woke up with the worst sinus blockage ever... I was dribbling from every facial orifice. And I was like, no WAY am I gonna go to school like this, because first off, it could be contagious, and second off, it looked really gross. So I slept until it cleared off, then went down to King Soopers for some nasal spray, because goodness knows I do not wanna show up Tuesday lookin' like that. XP

It's so funny when Homer sings that. ...Anyhoo, I just got out of 2D Animation Principles... the assignment was to, well... make a 2D animation. I decided to do one of a kitten. It took about 45 minutes or so to assemble each frame and each seperate layer of animation, then shoot it... End result, about 8 or 9 seconds of kitty action. It definitely goes to show that the road of animation is long and tedious if 45 minutes of work gets you 8 seconds of animation and you really want to produce something good, but it's something I REALLY want to do. As long as I can remember, I've wanted to do animation, character design, graphics, what have you, and I was REALLY happy to get into a college where one of the majors was animation. Hopefully soon I can upload it and show y'all what it looks like. It isn't anything too big, but it's the first baby step on the road to an animation career. |

Okay, so I've been doing some thinking, and talking to some people who own them... and I've gotten a decision: I would much rather have a motor scooter than an actual car. Here are the pros to owning a scooter rather than a car, as far as the owners say:
1) A driver's license is not required for a scooter because they're less than 50 cc.
2) You don't have to pay insurance.
3) They're really good for small-town traveling
4) The average maximum speed for a scooter is 40 mph. (which is basically why it's good for small town traveling)
5) You can park them on bike stands.
6) You don't have to fill it with gas as often as a car.
7) Scooters are way less expensive than a car. The minimum cost is $800-something.
...And I think that's it. Well, I decided to explain all this stuff to my mom, but she got really scared really quick at the idea of me riding a scooter without her supervision... she's known quite a few people who've gotten into some pretty bad motorcycle incidents... but it's a little different. Motorcycles are more dangerous than scooters, I think. Since I'm going pretty much nowhere with driving practice, it'd just be better to own a mode of transportation that's far less hassle than a car. More to the point, I am just EXTREMELY sick of having to walk/take the bus/take a cab everywhere I have to go. It's gotten really annoying. I mean, today, I had to wait a full hour for a cab to arrive so I could get to the Wal-Mart in Quebec Square because they misheard the pick-up address. And then when I needed to go back, I just got an earful of 'WE NEED A SPECIFIC PICK-UP ADDRESS WE NEED A SPECIFIC PICK-UP ADDRESS' which I seriously couldn't give them an answer for because I had no idea what it was, and at this particular point in time it is just... fucking annoying. Taxi service that mishear the pick-up/drop-off addresses (I swear to Kingdom Christ Come, there were a few drivers that left out numbers in the address to the student housing. They'd always try to drop me off at some condominium in a really creepy-ass area of town, and when I repeat the correct address to them in slow motion, they'd get all 'Why didn't you say so' on my ass), busses that take forever to get to the stop, and stop running at really inconvenient times, and walking... I know walking is good exercise, but... agh. I am seriously just sick and tired of relying on unreliable transportation services, and am seriously fucking DESPERATE for a personal mode of transportation, and the easiest one I can think of is a scooter. Mom respects that part, but she's too paranoid and would much rather I get my license just for driving in Kansas rather than acquire personal transportation for here in Denver that's low hassle and can actually take me where I need to go without having to either WAIT A WHOLE FUCKING HOUR FOR IT TO ARRIVE or SIT AT A BUS STOP THAT TAKES TOO LONG FOR THE RIGHT DAMN BUS TO COME ALONG!!! Goddamn!! I think I'm old enough to be able make my own decisions on what I really need right now, Mom. And what I really need right now is a reliable, easy mode of transportation so I can run my weekend errands without hassle. Like, seriously. I'm just fucking sick of Denver's sucky transit system. |

I got outbid at the last second for the Waluigi kart figurine!! Not fair. >_< I dunno where else they sell it online, but when I do find it I'm gonna get it there. With eBay you have to worry about stuff being outbid unless you can just sell it straight. However I did get some nifty Peach stuff, like a cell phone strap. So it's not all bad. |

Well, I have officially moved into my new room. It's pretty big, nice, PRIVATE ROOM... just as soon as I get these DAMN BOXES unpacked!!!!111! Geez. Wiimote took the move pretty well. But you know how uppity animals can get 'OMFG THE CAGE IS MOVING WHAT TO DO SQUEE SQUEE SQUEE SQUEE' In any case, it's nice to have a room to myself rather one where I have to worry about reading doujinshis and somebody coming in. |

So a few days ago I was talking to my dad, and we were talking about the car business again. First off, he says that the used car he might get me pretty much HAS to be an Acura because he has a good friend working at an Acura dealership. The reason? He's gonna give Dad a discount. Okay, a discount is good on a used car. But when it comes to the new car to use in college in the future... he wants to get me an SUV. And I'm talking about one of those hugeass-lots-of-seats-soccer-mom-sized SUVs. I suppose it'd be good for moving stuff around, but I can't seem to imagine myself driving around in an SUV to school by the time I'm 20 or 21. Except for field trips: 'Hey, I can give people a ride for (insert event here)! Lots of people! My car's fucking huge, dude!' LOL.
And speaking of school, some rude-ass douchebag from Structure and Proportion got expelled from the class for talking back to the professor so often. I wasn't there on week 3 because my eye was kinda messed up, but apparently the professor got so stressed and annoyed that he actually started screaming. I dunno whether I wanted to be there or not. I mean, I didn't like Flannegan too much, but I'd definitely not talk back to him. Damn. |

So I read this thing on dA's forum about how somebody got yelled at by his classmate for using squirrel-hair bristle paintbrushes, because said classmate said that those brushes mean loads of innocent squirrels died in order to make the paintbrushes. I mean, SERIOUSLY. The squirrels aren't killed to get the hair. I don't know where the hair comes from; probably the tail or something. The hair is SHAVED OFF. It's the equivalent of getting a haircut. The squirrels come out of it fine and the hair grows back, everybody goes on about their daily business. *rolls eyes* Sheesh. |

The 7th Harry Potter book comes out in two days. ...No, I'm not even considering picking it up. I've sort of phased out Harry Potter. But seriously, how funny would it be if I cut through a line of people waiting at the bookstore to get to the graphic novels and I get yelled at to go to the back of the line or some shit? I know how crazy fans can get. I'd rather not get involved.

Hoo boy! I just had a huge scare a few minutes ago. Yesterday when I went to class, I'd picked up all my cards except for my credit card. I'd honestly thought I'd lost it. And a credit card is one of THE LAST THINGS you want to lose. So I turned my room upside down looking for it, asked the front desk if it was in the lost and found... It was in one of those friggin' invisible pockets in my purse. You know, the ones that just blend right in? I'm really glad I found it, though. But I never want something like that to happen again.
Tomorrow I plan to see Ratatouille at Cherry Creek. And when the Simpsons movie comes out, I seriously wanna see that too. I hope they make a good Family Guy movie. And I'm talking about one you can see in theaters, instead of the straight-to-DVD Stewie one. Don't get me wrong, I love that movie, but it would be awesome to see one in theaters. Speakin' of movies, though, why is a Bratz movie coming out? And at the end of 2008, a Powerpuff Girls movie is coming out. BOTH of them live action. And not to mention live action, remember that Alvin and the Chipmunks poster I put in a while back? I still can't believe they're making an AATC LIVE ACTION MOVIE. It's like Garfield. Okay, Garfield was cool, and very funny, but the Chipmunks look pretty OOC if you ask me. I mean, they look like they're about to sing hip-hop instead of 80s/90s classics. I'd probably see it just to see what it's like. |
